Spring ahead!
Rochester has some great events on the horizon, just following the coldrush season--including The Lilac Festival, the fifth Annual Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the Wegmans Rochester LPGA Tournament.

Lilac Festival May 12-21, 2006
Rochester's world-renowned Lilac Festival is a lavish array of flowers, attractions, and special events that signal the arrival of spring. The 1,200-plus lilac bushes-more than 500 varieties-located in city-centered Highland Park, create a floral rainbow ranging from the deepest of purples to the purest of whites. The 2006 festival runs Friday, May 12 to Sunday, May 21. The largest celebration of its kind in North America, the festival promises a profusion of flowers, food, and fun for all the family. Visit www.lilacfestival.com for more details.

2006 Rochester International Jazz Festival
June 9-17, 2006. Hear legendary Grammy award-winning artists and critically-acclaimed jazz and contemporary groups from here and around the world. Experience all genres of improvised music at more than 100 spectacular concerts in clubs, the Eastman Theatre and other locations around Rochester. In its fifth year, this event is one of the fastest growing music festivals in the nation making Rochester the ultimate 2006 summer music destination. Get the latest news, artist info and MP3 files at www.rochesterjazz.com. Club Passes on sale now at www.rochesterjazz.com, www.ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster outlets.

Wegmans Rochester LPGA
June 19-25, 2006. Experience the Wegmans Rochester LPGA, at Locust Hill Country Club. Yes, it's all about international competition and the world's best women golfers. But it's also about bringing your family, meeting friends, enjoying the smells and tastes of delicious foods cooked in the great outdoors. It's strolling on the lush green grass, sampling in the Expo Tent and fun and laughter for kids - young and old. It's a community event that benefits the two Rotary Camps for children with disabilities in Monroe County: Camp Haccamo and the Sunshine Campus.
