Lilac Festival
May 11-20, 2007.
Rochester’s world-renowned Lilac Festival is a lavish array of flowers, attractions, and special events that signal the arrival of spring. The 1,200-plus lilac bushes—more than 500 varieties—located in city-centered Highland Park, create a floral rainbow ranging from the deepest of purples to the purest of whites. The largest celebration of its kind in North America, the festival promises a profusion of flowers, food, and fun for all the family. www.lilacfestival.com.

Wegmans Rochester LPGA
June 17-24, 2006.
Experience the Wegmans Rochester LPGA, at Locust Hill Country Club. Yes, it’s all about international competition and the world’s best women golfers. But it’s also about bringing your family, meeting friends, enjoying the smells and tastes of delicious foods cooked in the great outdoors. It’s strolling on the lush green grass, sampling in the Expo Tent and fun and laughter for kids —young and old. It’s a community event that benefits the two Rotary Camps for children with disabilities in Monroe County: Camp Haccamo and the Sunshine Camp. 585-427-7100. www.rochesterlpga.com.
