Lilac Festival
May 13-22, 2005

Rochester's world-renowned Lilac Festival is a lavish array of flowers, attractions, and special events that signal the arrival of spring. The 1,200-plus lilac bushes--more than 500 varieties--located in city-centered Highland Park, create a floral rainbow ranging from the deepest of purples to the purest of whites. The 2005 festival runs Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 22. The largest celebration of its kind in North America, the festival promises a profusion of flowers, food, and fun for all the family. Rochester International Jazz Festival

Rochester Air Show
June 11-12, 2005

Once again, The Rochester Air Show is sure to please. Taking place at the Greater Rochester International Airport, the 2005 show features the world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Their web site describes the Thunderbirds' performance as " precise flying with an emphasis on excellence. From the first red, white and blue F-84G to the awesome power and unmatched performance of today's F-16C, the Thunderbirds continue to showcase America's frontline fighters and demonstrate the skill of every U.S. Air Force fighter pilot."
